The Browns have been searching for a trade partner for Mayfield since the conclusion of the 2021 NFL season. It sounds as if the front office may be willing to bite the bullet to move on from him. According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, the Browns are willing to eat about half of Mayfield’s 2022 salary — that would be roughly $9 million of the $18.858 due him this upcoming season — to facilitate a trade....

Lesley Hendrix was taken ill at the Canadian County Jail in El Reno, Oklahoma, on Sunday evening and rushed to hospital by ambulance where she later died. Hendrix had been at the jail since 2016 awaiting trial after being charged over the death of 23-month-old Isabella Little Elk who she had been babysitting. The state Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death was caused by blunt force trauma to the child’s head, that it could only have been caused by abuse and only during the time the child was in the care of Hendrix, reported the El Reno Tribune newspaper....

According to the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department, Makellie Durham is facing charges of capital murder as well as felony child abuse related to an alleged assault on an 11-month-old-girl. Durham was babysitting the two children at a home in Corinth on Tuesday when, according to WMC, deputies and paramedics were called to a home after being informed that a 2-year-old boy had been found unresponsive. The 11-month-old girl was also found injured at the property....

Southgate was there to collect his OBE — Officer of the Order of the British Empire — from the Prince of Wales, three months after being awarded the honor in Queen Elizabeth II’s New Year list. The 48-year-old Southgate led England to the semifinals of the World Cup in Russia last year. There’s also an issue with WWE not having any credible challengers to Lesnar. Apparently this is of major concern to Vince McMahon, enough that he has at least given some thought to bringing Kurt Angle back as a wrestler for a feud with Lesnar (they have feuded in the past as well & main evented WrestleMania XIX). Vince has been strongly against the idea of bringing Angle back in the past and we noted just this week that both Vince and Triple H reportedly “blew Angle off” when he inquired about a return recently....

But according to WrestleZone, Batista could be staying with the WWE through Payback. And this definitely does make sense, since the feud between the Evolution and the Shield isn’t even close to getting over. This feud could last until Payback which will be live on June 1. After that, Batista could be away from the company until SummerSlam. Will The Shield be the ones to shelve Batista, or will Triple H and Randy Orton turn on him?...

It now appears that all the heat that the WWE Universe placed on the NXT creative team for Flair’s title run this year was absolutely misplaced.
