Roman Reigns was the chosen one then and almost 3 years later, the plan has come full circle with him being crowned the new WWE World Heavyweight champion on last week’s edition of WWE RAW.
Normally, such a scenario would result in a lot of jealousy as the ultra competitive locker-room of the WWE feels that they should be the ones getting the spot. However, reports suggest that it doesn’t seem to be the case with Reigns, who is seen as someone deserving to be holding the spot he is in.
It is a testament to Reigns’s nature backstage with the crew and his peers that they are happy to see a rocket be strapped to his back, while being launched into the WWE stratosphere.
It is undeniable that Reigns has come a long way from his early days, both in the ring and how he carries himself outside it. An accomplished athlete prior to joining the WWE, the work ethic ingrained in him from his competing days has helped winning even the most fierce of detractors over.
