In development since 2012, Back to the Future The Musical was originally meant to release in London during 2015 for the film’s 30th anniversary. After a series of production delays, it has its world premiere in Manchester U.K.s Opera Gardens in Feb 2020, however it was forced to close after several weeks due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Posting on its website, Manchester Opera House said that “all remaining performances of Back to the Future in Manchester were cancelled and the show will not reopen until it transfers to the West End.”
